We specialise in developing competent workers across various fields, including Water-Blasting, Painting, Window Cleaning, Rigging, Inspection, Wind Turbine Maintenance, Non-Destructive Thickness Testing (NDT), and Geo-Technical workers.

The cost of this all depends of the amount of time / training required to bring a person up to a satisfactory level that they have the knowledge to undertake the “Challenge Assessment”. A person may already have these skills, and in this case they simply contact our office and book in for a CoC Assessment.
Course Aim -Intermediate: Elevate your team from novices to skilled rope workers in the demanding rope access environment. Our Intermediate course is meticulously designed to meet the demanding requirements of todays rope access industry requiments. Over the course of two intensive weeks, participants will become valuable assets—safe, sensible, and sound in their trade.
Course Duration: The duration of the course depends on the trainees existing level of knowledge. Usually between one and two weeks.
The curriculum is mixed between theoretical knowledge and the critical practical skills needed on the job -with the scales definitely weighing on the practical skills for the majority of the course. Below are the NZQA unit standards and essential subjects covered:
19358 -Demonstrate knowledge of legislative requirements for the industrial rope access industry
19359 -Identify, inspect and maintain height safety equipment
19360 -Plan and prepare for basic industrial rope access work
19361 -Set up and dismantle basic industrial rope access systems
19362 -Prepare and use industrial rope access systems
19363 -Carry out simple patient recovery by rope techniques
We prioritise hands-on experience, as the majority of the course time is spent on-rope performing practical tasks, ensuring that paperwork and rest are limited. Trainees will be immersed in a comprehensive range of rope access equipment, including its appropriate use, maintenance, and proper logging.
Challenge Assessment (CoC) -Intermediate Rope Access Operative
Once trainees feel prepared, they can take the Challenge Assessment for their Certificate of Competence (CoC). Passing this assessment confirms that they have:
The knowledge, skills, and attitude required to be a valuable member of a rope access team.
Proficiency in safely using an extensive variety of industrial rope access equipment.
Mastery of a wide range of rope techniques.
The skills necessary to manage emergency situations at height.
A solid foundation in elementary rope skills, paving the way for further advancement in the industrial rope access sector.
The ability to rescue a co-worker / patient from an on-rope emergency situation

Pre-Requisite: Entry is open, however, physical strength, dexterity, balance, coordination, and motor skills all need to be unimpaired to work within this industry, for safety reasons. This is a very physical course, and many trainees have had to return on another course, due to running-out-of-steam during the consistent on-rope training.
